The Crew
The chain of command aboard STV Pathfinder and TS Playfair follows the organisation that would have been used aboard British warships on the Great Lakes during the War of 1812. The boats operate around the clock with the ships complement divided into 3 watches (red, white, and blue). Each watch is 4 hours except for two afternoon watches that are only two hours (dog watches). The short watches allow the watch system to rotate every day.
